Amazing Sankhlaburi, Thailand
This Monday I went to Sangkhlaburi, one of the most beautiful cities in western Thailand. I was simply blown away by the Mon Bridge across Khao Laem Dam. The bridge gets partially destroyed every year during the rainy season in Thailand. Locals don’t use the main bridge, they constructed a temporary bamboo bridge instead. Soon enough they will repair the wooden bridge and will use it again.
Located by the border with Myanmar, the city is populated by Burmese, Karen, Mon, Thai and even Lao people. All the ethnic groups managed to preserve their languages and traditions. A fascinating place to visit!
