To Khabarovsk and back: exploring the nature of the Russian Far East

This is Sikhote-Alin, a mountain range in Primorsky region of Russia. It is renowned for its unique wildlife and nature. It is also placed in World Heritage List of UNESCO. Tigers, leopards, Asiatic Black Bear and reindeer are among the species living in this area.

In 1947 the Sikhote-Alin meteorite exploded in the air and scattered across the territory of the mountain range. You can still find traces of metal and see the craters on the territory.
